vintage-tech by ScytheDesigner vintage-tech by ScytheDesigner
So I was just messing around with illustrator and this is what I got after about an hour..... Ohhh, yeah right... ha ha.

I busted my ass on this for a while, a long while, a real long while. This piece has a lot to do with the number 1.618 or Phi.
I also wanted to throw two things together that were considered (at least subconciously) opposites. I am guessing that
people consider technology as something that never gets old, which is true. But what about 8 tracks? At some point in time they were
considered cutting edge like the blessed mp3 players of today, now they're vintage. Hope you guys enjoy the piece and its many
intracacies.

Got to give props when props are due. I didn't just create this from nothingness, I had influences.
Kerry Roper and Ben Miners, both professional designers and damn good at their profession.

Tuneage: A lot went into feeding the cranium for this one. Above and Beyond's Essential Mix on Radio 1 was inspirational to say the least.
Sasha was much appreciated for both of his albums Airwindagger and Involver. And as always respect to Gabriel and Dresden for amazing
sets. Tongy's radio show helped out quite a bit as well as did a few other internet radio stations I found while checking out the nomaniees
for the WMC 2005. Can't forget about Tiesto either.

Tracks: these tracks have been out for a while
Tilt - The world doesn't know
Tranquility Base - Surrender
Both amazing tracks I must say

As always critiques are always welcome, especially if there is something you really like or not to found of, I would like to know.
And yes...beauty is in the eye of the beholder, never get that twisted.

I think it would have worked better without it, being cut in three.

But i most say the detail, and sense of composition more than makes up for it, i love this piece, it's a +fav.

"(1 sqrt5)/2 -thats the magic number".

I'm loving this, the colours work great with the theme without being cliche. Not so sure about the background texure, perhaphs something similar, like the texure added it old electronics to make them easier to grip (the body of my beloved LOMO LCA camera is a great example).

The detail on the 'wiring' is impressive and well done.

Anyway its good shit.

Peace

Many thanks brotha, finally something a bit different than roads haha. Not that I mind the the road thing, as long as you all dig it, whether it be roads, or in this case old texture for cameras, as long as you all dig it, I dig that you dig. And yeah, I never thought about the texture of an old camera, but I think you are quite right.

Kick ass,.. very nicely done!!:clap::clap::clap:

Actually, although it's not at all what you had in mind (based upon your comments),
this actually reminds me of an aerial view (which I have had many times) of the Los Angeles freeway system!!

Anyway, excellent texturing and colors in this work.

Way to go!!

Keep up the good work.

Rock On!

Peace up!

Many thanks, a roadway does seem to be a re-accurring theme with this work. I'll take it. Just good to know that it is liked.

very nice man. i kept looking at it for a while. really catches you. so many details..
the smoothness of vectors meets the organic style. very nice combination man.
i also like the color palette you used. very earthly colors.

really nice work man.
